I’ve officially graduated from the Hideout Theatre’s improv program! I’m about 11 months in doing improv, and I’m absolutely in love. I’ve written about improv before (3 Important Lessons I’ve Learned From Taking Improv Classes), but this has become an addiction, obsession, and something to work towards. That being said, I’d like to formally introduce my improv troupe, Soy Taco.
Hooray!
Thank you for your enthusiasm.
We’re still students of the art and nowhere near being professionals. However, we have tons of fun on stage and off stage, and that’s what improv is all about, right? If it’s not fun, then why do it at all???
Here’s our deal:
Soy Taco came to be as a result of bad Spanish and good improv. The troupe members all met taking classes at the Hideout Theatre. Primarily inspired by Armando-style improv, they love sharing personal stories (sometimes TOO personal) to inspire scenes. They also love to experiment with different styles, props, and the occasional taco.
Below is our first non-class gig.
